HELLO...and welcome!

I’m Janie, a self-taught illustrator from beautiful New Zealand. I live in the countryside on Banks Peninsula with my husband and our two spoiled sausage dogs.

I think one of my first memories is of sitting at the table drawing with a big box of fat crayons. Drawing and creating has been part of my life ever since.

These days I mainly draw on my iPad though I usually incorporate handmade textures or vintage papers in my work. Shadow and light are magical to me and nearly everything I draw is influenced by this.
